History
Founded by Mrs. Iromi Weerasinghe, Daybridge International School began with just four students. Mrs. Weerasinghe's passion for her children was the driving force behind the establishment, serving as the first inspiration for the inaugural AMI Montessori at Bambalapitiya.
As the school gained recognition for its dedicated approach to education, there was a rapid growth. Multiple branches emerged, a testament to the school's commitment towards fostering a nurturing and learning environment. In 2002, with continuous support from the late Mr. Savindra Weerasinghe and Mrs. Bertha Semen, Daybridge International took a significant leap forward by the establishment of the upper school at Waidya Place, starting with just six students.
The school's expansion continued with the introduction of the primary section in 2003, located in Union Place, marking the initiation of its secondary school journey. From these foundational steps, Daybridge International School has consistently expanded its horizons, embodying a commitment to comprehensive education across its various branches and age groups.
